Bloody Hell – 2020 – Horror, Action, Dark Comedy
Directed by: Alister Grierson
Written by: Robert Benjamin
Main Players: Ben O’Toole; Meg Fraser

Bloody Hell is an absolutely wild time. It’s hard to want to go too deep into plot description, and going in with little to no details may be the best if you are into darker action/horror movies with edgy comedy. This quality film has a lot going for it, but does have some bloody moments to match its title.
Rex (O’Toole) has had a rough go of it lately. He has just gotten out of prison for a controversial sentence. Despite years since an inciting event, Rex still has to duck the media and recognition from citizens, so he takes a trip to Finland, which is the location that his dart hit when throwing it at a map inside his cell.
Finland treats Rex a bit better at first, as no one knows who he is, however he soon finds himself in a very, very bad spot. As he starts losing his grip on reality, he must do all he can to survive. The movie is quite creative with how it presents many aspects of stress and internalizing, and it is also clever with its story execution.
Despite the movie fully sounding like pure horror, there are many clever lines and funny moments. Yes, it is bloody and aptly titled, but if buckets of blood are not a thing to you, then enjoy the absolutely wild ride.
