Companion Movie Poster

Happy couple Iris (Thatcher) and Josh (Quaid) head to a little rustic cabin in the woods for a fun time weekend getaway with Josh’s close friends. Iris worries that Kat (Suri) doesn’t like her, but Jack assures her that it’s okay, Kat doesn’t like anyone.

As they get to the little cabin, they realize it is a gorgeous remote mansion, 17 miles away from the next property. Kat ushers them inside to meet her boyfriend Sergey (Friend), and they are joined by one other couple, Eli (Guillén) and Patrick (Gage).

Iris worries that she will make a faux pas and is a bit uptight, but she focuses on how she just adores Jack, allowing that to motivate her actions. The group of friends enjoy meals, talking, drinking and usual relaxations. Then an absolute mess of shit hits about three fans.

Unexpected drama arises as the movie flips on its head a bit, allowing the viewer in on its secret. Enjoy the chaos, which is both horrific and darkly comic. Companion is well done with a small, yet strong cast and an interesting script. Avoid spoilers when possible, it is best to come in blank.
