Autopsy Of Jane Doe Xlg

As wind shuffles dirt across the ground, an ominous feeling is presented immediately. This is Grantham, Virginia. A nice home sits in a suburban neighborhood. Crime scene investigators photograph a gruesome scene with blood splattered everywhere and multiple bodies. Cops survey the home from top to bottom.

Sheriff Burke (McElhatton) is called downstairs to the basement. More blood splatters are on the walls. And… down in the dirt in the floor, half buried still, a corpse is sticking out of the ground. This is Jane Doe (Kelly) for now. Off goes the body to the morgue and hopefully some possible identity and cause of death answers.

Jamming out to radio tunes while they clean up bodies that are burnt to a crisp, Tommy (Cox) and Austin Tilden (Hirsch)d perform autopsies for the city, and for work as a generational family business. They are cause of death and body experts. Tommy continues to teach the young Austin the underlying secrets that bodies hold. Watch out for those subdural hematomas.

Austin has a date with his girl Emma (Lovibond) and wraps up work to hopefully check out for a movie. Their family home doubles as their work zone, with a large structure built on containing a morgue and crematorium where all the magic happens. Austin locks Jane Doe up and finds Stanley the Cat (Sydney) bringing him a dead mouse present.

Austin wrestles with leaving the city and wanting a different career, but also wants to support his dad. The sheriff then rolls in with Jane Doe. Hmmm, well nothing weird so far…

What may have been a typical day for these two Tilden gentlemen unfortunately now becomes… something else. Weird noises and happenings lead to increased scales of craziness. As mysteries and psychological madness increases, the few characters have to deal with what makes sense, or doesn’t, to try and stay alive.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a solid psychological medical examination horror thriller. It has some good creep, and is a well-paced show with a good script. The small cast does a great job with their contained roles. Overall, this is a good jaunt into madness.
