Two Guns Ver4 Xlg

Based on a graphic novel, 2 Guns brings the heat with star power and a decently fun story. As a train thunders by, a slick 1970 Dodge Challenger waits for the barriers to raise. Eventually the car drives into a small town and parks at Mama Maybelle’s Diner, a small restaurant. Two men get out. Michael “Stig” Stigman (Wahlberg) goes inside the diner, which features the best donuts in three counties, while Bobby Beans (Washington) walks across the street into the bank in order to secure a safety deposit box.

After clearing paperwork and getting his key, Beans gets a call from Stig asking about pancakes. He strolls over and places an order in the diner, coffee and pumpernickel toast. Then men bicker about breakfast foods, and then go over their bank recon. In walk doughnut seeking cops.

Then, it’s time to make the move. There is gonna be some sirens in this bitch! As they set off a fire alarm in the restaurant, chaos begins. Where is all of this headed? To places of robberies, criminal deals and double crosses of course. Flashbacks give a bit more detail on our two criminal cohorts, and bring some additional plot to the film.

Without getting too deep, this is an okay action movie that features a couple of career criminals which are both more than what they appear to be. They feud and joke, which is a semi-buddy-type element for the pair, but the story and script are pretty by the books despite the solid core ideas featured. That being said, there is a lot of fun and the stars have a great time in their roles, and the plot is still good enough.

The film is competently put together and is definitely worth a watch, even if it won’t blow you away. The quality is definitely good enough, and I have not read the source material so I cannot compare the two.
