Abigail Movie Poster

A group of stranger “professional” criminals are out on a mission which could land them all a massive pay-day. Their anonymity is for their protection, as the man with the plan found a group with the skills capable and banded them together. They are all there to do their parts and ensure a smooth process.

What are they out to do? Well… this group of nefarious criminal actors is deadest on their target: 12-year-old ballet dancer Abigail (Weir). Their intel is that she is from a rich family, and the head boss will negotiate a $50 Million dollar ransom. All they need to do is extract the target, take her to the safe house and keep her safe overnight. What could go wrong?

Abigail is a feature that is best going in with as little knowledge as possible, which will allow for the mystery elements to play out the best. There is a lot of fun to be had, as the script is full of comedic lines as well as dangerous situations with dangerous and explosive action. The group of criminals is a good group of actors, who are all able to infuse their characters with nice details even though some have limited screen time.

If you are down for creepy thrills and are okay with a bit of blood, Abigail brings a lot of surprise and a competent script. The dialogue is often sharp, and many lines are quite funny. All in all, this is a well crafted film with some cool ideas and competent execution.
