Opening with a suited man Aaron Hunter (Kostov) getting some unfortunate news on his cell phone, cursing, and rushing into his work’s situation room for a briefing. Things are not good! Something got explosion-y. The Bangkok team is down. The only possibly “good” news? One of the techs thinks he caught sighting of “The Ghost,” tracking a blurry person hidden by cameras who just took out their squad. While this person is unseen, their lack of an image still gives a position marker, that is until satellite imagery is lost. SO where was this Ghost heading??
Well, Agency Director Katherine Brunt (Sackhoff) deduces that the movements are likely taking their target towards the airport. The dark web confirms there is a flight heading to San Francisco soon from that airport that The Ghost is likely headed for. The issue is, the Singapore team will take over an hour to hit the Bangkok terminal, and The Ghost will long be in the wind…
Brunt has one other hail mary option… She hits up Lucas Reyes (Hartnett), a disgraced Secret Service operative who stood up to some shitty people and has been hiding from the CIA ever since. It’s a long story. Or not really, but you can find out about that later in the movie when you watch it.
So, Reyes decides to hit up this flight, identify and bring in this Ghost alive, and if he can complete that, then Brunt will get him home and fix his record. Simple. Oh, buuuut, the dark web also says that there just may be a couple other assassins headed for the same international flight, looking to claim the Ghost’s head for their own bounties.
Join the chaos in the skies as insane action, over the top violence, and snarky comedy join forces to bring you Fight or Flight. The acting definitely does the job and fits the mood, and the simple story brings plenty of opportunity for insanity, which the script leans into. Overall, this is a good time for action movie fans, especially for those that want a bit more fun than seriousness.
