Julia’s Eyes is a tense story full of mystery and suspense. Without diving too much into the plot, it combines elements of investigative procedurals, whodunit mysteries and downright horror type thrills into an anxious and enthralling story.
The cast is quite strong, as the actors gave the twisting tale their all. The dark and murky shots are gorgeous to look at, despite bringing in an uneasy vibe. The nature of the story keeps the suspense high while delivering its twists.
While the final act of this movie has a bit of clunk, I really enjoyed the experience that film offers. With big portions of mystery and suspense, this foreign thriller will have viewers on the edge of their seats. Mileage may vary, but there is no denying it offers some heart pounding thrills and is expertly filmed.
The story works well enough overall, and going in “blind” is not a problem for viewers.
