As Emmett (Glenn) slumbers in a small shack, he is woken up by an ambush of armed men. Yee haw. After some quick gunplay, the attackers are no more. He notes a brand on their horses and takes one along with his own for a ride into town. Time to find out who these hooligans were, as Emmett has no idea.

On his multi-day journey towards civilization, he runs across a snoozing fellow lying in the sand. He provides him some water and they pair up, the man telling him his name is Paden (Kline), who also had some crazy trouble with cowboys leaving him for dead after stealing his favorite horse.

At a tiny outpost town, Paden spots the dudes that ripped him off and buys a shoddy cheap gun. Shit is about to go down. As more characters enter the fray, like Paden’s old criminal pals Cobb (Dennehy) and Tyree (Fahey), and Emmett’s short on brain cells brother Jake (Costner), plots continue to evolve.

Silverado is a funny and entertaining western with a very good cast. The characters are good if not great, and they are brought to life by find acting. The script continues to keep things interesting and is infused with enjoyable qualities and good moments sprinkled throughout. It is very well shot and is an upbeat western adventure with solid music and fine cinematography. Check it out if you want a wild and fun ride.
